After 10 years behind the camera, this is what I know...
Nobody looks back and says, "I'm so glad we got everyone to look at the camera". They talk about the laugh they forgot happen, the way their child help onto their leg, Grandpa dancing when he swore he wouldn't, the version of themselves they didn't realize they'd miss one day.
THAT'S why I keep showing up. Not because life needs to look prettier but because one day it'll be different and when that day comes, you'll be really glad you kept this piece of it.

PERFECT. Because I'll guide you when it's needed and let you simply be when it's not. And somewhere between the first awkward beginning and the "wait, I absolutely love these" you'll forget there's even a camera.

What is your turn around time?
Turn around time for portrait sessions are 2 weeks post session date. Because of this I do recommend having your session scheduled 1-2 months prior to you needing images back to plan for potential weather reschedules, family emergencies, etc.

what is your reschedule policy?
If weather is not on our side for your session day we will absolutely reschedule. If you choose to request a reschedule due to a scheduling conflict, etc. I offer a one time complimentary reschedule opportunity. After the complimentary reschedule you will be required to pay 50% of the session fee to book again.

where and when do sessions take place?
Unless a specific location is requested, all sessions will take place within Logan County, OH. Travel outside of Logan County may require a travel fee.
Sessions take place 1-1.5hrs prior to sunset the day of your session if it is outdoor. Studio sessions will take place around 10am depending on studio availability.

Why H&H?
At H&H you're more than a session on the books, your stories being told, memories being made, and moments frozen in time for you to look back on for years to come. Around here we don't do proper and perfect. We do organized chaos, show up as we are and don't apologize for it. H&H is where you finally get to be you without performing.

what should i wear?
My editing style, while still true to color, is on the earthier and slightly moodier side of the spectrum. I recommend a softer, neutral color palette for your outfits.
My rule of thumb for family session is plan mom's outfit first and then coordinate other's with supporting colors and or patterns. Never all wear the same exact color.

what if the kids don't cooperate?
In my experience it's best to not try and force the kiddos into anything they aren't willing to do at that time. Not only does it stress them out, but also you, and it'll show in your images.
We will pivot direction and eventually they will see how fun it is and want to join in. It's all about presence over perfection here. & kids will always be kids, it's absolutely okay!

what is your refund policy?
Once payments have been made I do not offer a refund for any reason. Should you need to move your session we will absolutely reschedule but I am not a bank, refunds are not offered.
